Ippocampo is a work that was born as a reportage on the destruction of a personal archive. In the beginning I just wanted to film an action, and then I got other images. What you see in the video, at the beginning, is the time when part of this analog material (35mm, VHS, audio tapes) is burned. Removing the material part of these images means releasing them, freeing them from the tangible. I believe is a work related to the topic of reincarnation, reincarnation of images. The idea of the film stems from the destruction and make out of this destruction its own image.
